Grand Cayman

We left Cozumel at midnight on May 11th 1999. We were to sail the rest of that night and all day Wednesday the 12th and arrive in Grand Cayman on Thursday the 13th. When we woke on Wednesday, I looked out expecting to see blue water. Well I saw blue water and land. I thought we had missed something and I was a little upset thinking that we missed our 7am excursion in Grand Cayman. It turned out that a man developed appendicitis during the nite and the ship turned around and went back to Cozumel to get him medical attention. As far as I know, the man is ok and we did not miss any of the trip. I do know the captain of the ship had the pedal to the metal and we were leaving a distict wake in the water. We did arrive in Grand Cayman on Thursday at around 7am, and it was beautiful.
There are not any docks where we were in Grand Cayman, so we dropped anchor and some boats called tenders came out to get us. They would make runs from the ship to the small piers about every 10 or 15 minutes. It was in the Grand Cayman the we visited the Hell Post Office, we went and swam with and fed the stingrays, that was way cool, and we took a submarine 100 feet deep. Grand Cayman was an exciting place but I felt it was a little pricey.
