Ochos Rios   Jamaica
May 14th 1999

We were only here from 7am until 4pm and no one wanted to leave. Everyone on the ship wish we could have stayed there longer. We went to the top of a mountain where there was a small village and a tropical rain forest. Then we headed down the road past Mick Jagger's vacation home and into a tropical garden. There were house plants growing all over the place and they were much larger than any house plant we had ever seen.
The road we were traveling on use to be a river but an earthquake years ago changed the course of the river. When hurricane Gilbert came through in 1988 the road became a river again, washing houses down the road into the middle of town.

An absolutely beautiful sunset. This was fun, fun, fun.
A look back as we were leaving. Climbing the Dunn River Falls is fun, even if I did fall down 3 times.
A look at the port in Jamaica. Us in the falls
